My Method
No one teaches writing anymore. Writing takes time, and a certain kind of undivided attention. To write, you have to be willing to change your mind, you have to be open to learning from your mistakes. And you cannot get discouraged, even if you fail. Experience is always the best teacher, and trial and error are part of life.
These are things we feel we don’t have time for, but if you can orient your life around these goals, then writing, and school in general, will stop being scary and overwhelming, and you’ll feel like learning is actually meaningful to you, not just a constant source of fear. When you write, you’re not just writing a paper, you’re writing you. You are the thing that is being improved, and the paper is just an exercise to improve your brain. You probably won’t remember what your papers were about, but what you’ll get out of the process is a clearer mind, a creative skillset, a positive attitude and confidence.
That’s why it pays to really learn to write. You won’t just solve a problem you’ve been avoiding, you’ll make an investment in happiness and success for the rest of your life.
